Job Summary
Preoperative Evaluation Registered Nurse (RN) conducts comprehensive preop assessments to optimize and educate patients for scheduled procedures; collaborates with anesthesia and surgical teams, reviews medical histories, meds, allergies, labs, and imaging, and documents in EMR. Must provide clear patient education on preop instructions, NPO guidelines, and perioperative expectations, with strong critical thinking, assessment, and clinical judgment skills, and experience with interdisciplinary coordination and infection prevention. BSN preferred; strong communication and organizational skills required.
Required Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- PACU/PreOp or PreOP eval nursing experience required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
