Job Summary
Deliver structured, small-group online reading lessons via Zoom for up to four elementary students per session, implementing the provided curriculum and instructional materials. Monitor, document, and communicate student progress consistently using established assessment and reporting tools while maintaining an engaging, supportive, and orderly virtual learning environment. Sessions typically last 30–40 minutes and occur Monday–Friday between 6:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. PST. This role contributes to a nationally recognized, research-backed program addressing literacy gaps, with independent evaluations demonstrating measurable student gains.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- Authorization to work in the United States
- Comfortable with Zoom and common digital learning tools
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills with students, colleagues, and school partners
Desired Qualifications
- Bilingual in Spanish and English
- Degree or coursework in education, English, literacy, or a related field
- Experience teaching phonics or early reading (K–3) and familiarity with structured literacy approaches
