Remote Coding Training Specialist

Job Summary
Lead end-to-end onboarding and virtual training for new coders and auditors; QA 100% on practice charts; provide detailed feedback and actionable guidance; develop centralized training materials; stay current with coding updates (ICD-10-CM) and disseminate information to the coding department; manage client appeals and collaborate with Education Manager on strategic initiatives; participate in new hire interviews and provide feedback on candidates.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum 5 years of production coding in a risk adjustment environment
- Minimum 1-2 years of auditing other coders' work
- Minimum 1 year of experience with Complete Code Capture
- Required experience in Medicare Advantage, Commercial, and Medicaid Risk Adjustment
- Current core coding credential (e.g., CPC, CRC, CCS, CCS-P)
- Apprentice status (CCA or CPC-A) is not sufficient
- CRC is preferred
- Advanced knowledge of ICD-10-CM, coding guidelines, and risk adjustment models
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe, and coding platforms
- Exposure to different EMR systems (Epic, Athena)
- Previous NLP (Natural Language Processing) experience preferred
