Job Summary
Remote Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) who is bilingual in Hindi/Gujarati/Punjabi and English, with active CMA certification, to support patient enrollment and program eligibility for healthcare programs. Responsibilities include guiding enrollment, assessing eligibility, conducting patient consultations, documenting and coordinating enrollment efforts in EHRs, following up with patients, educating patients about healthcare programs, ensuring privacy and HIPAA compliance, staying informed about program updates, and collaborating with healthcare providers, insurers, social workers, and other stakeholders. Required skills include medical terminology, clear communication, empathy, attention to detail, strong organization, EHR proficiency, ethical conduct, and a collaborative, client-focused approach. Must be able to work remotely from the United States on a full-time contractor basis (1099). Must speak and write English and at least two of Hindi, Gujarati, or Punjabi fluently.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (active certification from a nationally accredited institution (NHA, AAMA, NCCT, NAHP, etc))
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and diagnoses to assess patient eligibility
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to explain complex information clearly
- Empathy and compassionate patient interaction
- Attention to detail in enrollment applications and documentation
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and adaptability to software
- Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
- Team player and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Fluency in English and at least two of Hindi, Gujarati, or Punjabi
