Job Summary
Behavioral Health Counselor provides outpatient behavioral health treatment to individuals, couples, families, and groups, including participation in an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and TeleHealth sessions. Responsibilities include reviewing EMRs prior to sessions, conducting clinical assessments, developing and adjusting treatment plans, maintaining a therapeutic and confidential environment, recording progress notes and updated plans, completing administrative tasks, and collaborating with in-house Medical Doctors, Psychiatrists, and Patient Care Coordinators. Expectation includes maintaining a caseload of 120-160 patients and a minimum of 25 patient-facing hours per week, with office hours 8am-5pm Monday–Friday. Requires a Master’s degree in social work or a related clinical field and independent state licensure (licensure types vary by state).
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in social work or another clinical counseling field
- independently licensed in the state they will be working (e.g., LICSW, LCSW, LPC)
- state-specific licensure requirements listed (Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, Texas, Louisiana, Virginia) including LCSW/LPC/MHSP where applicable
