Job Summary
Remedial Construction Heavy Equipment Operator responsible for field work related to soil excavation/removal, remediation systems installation, demolition, and related tasks in a construction environment. Requires operating heavy equipment (excavators, dozers, front end loaders, backhoes, skid steers), loading trucks, mobilizing to project sites, ensuring utility locates are marked, performing site grading and UST removals, shoveling and lifting heavy materials, maintaining equipment, completing daily time/hours reporting, and adhering to safety standards. Travel is extensive (90% field work; 75-100% travel; overnights 35-50%). PPE usage and professional interaction with clients are required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of earth-moving equipment operation experience
- OSHA HAZWOPER (40 hour) certification a plus
- Ability to travel 75-100% with overnight stays 35-50%
- Ability to lift 50-100 lbs
- Experience operating excavators, dozers, front end loaders, backhoes, skid steers
