Job Summary
Manage repossessed vehicle inventory and auction vendor relationships, serving as the primary point of contact for vehicle assessment, reconditioning, and sale preparation. Monitor vendor performance, conduct on-site reviews of auction procedures, and organize regular status meetings to address deficiencies. Negotiate arbitration claims, identify market arbitrage opportunities, and audit expenses while ensuring compliance with Westlake policies and state regulations. Maximize net recovery by facilitating timely, effective, and compliant sales of inventory. This role requires seamless database navigation and decision-making within the Remarketing Department to support overall company objectives.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of related automotive/remarketing experience
- Bachelor's Degree or college equivalent experience
- Experience with vehicle valuation
- Experience with reconditioning assessment
- Experience with wholesale remarketing channels
- Understanding of macro and region-level social/economic activity
- Understanding of seasonality
- Understanding of key automotive trends as it relates to used vehicle pricing
- Ability to work independently with time constraints
- Ability to manage competing deadlines
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Effective and professional written and verbal communication skills
- Flexibility in job functionality
- Ability to assimilate procedural changes
- Good PC skills
- Ability to work with multiple platforms
- Familiarity with NAAA auction policies
- Experience in frame assessment
- Experience in condition report writing
