Religious Education Assistant

Religious Education Assistant needed to support Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS) sessions, including preparing atria and materials, handling online registrations, attendance, and communications with catechists and parents. Responsibilities cover assisting in preparing children for sacraments (First Reconciliation, First Holy Communion, Confirmation), coordinating with the DRE on family orientations, CGS events, and parish activities (e.g., Masses, receptions, catechist meetings, and youth volunteer coordination). Collaboration with the DRE and St. Augustine Catholic School for school retreats and VBS, plus support for various parish events (Feast Day, Mardi Gras, St. Patrick’s Day). Applicants should be a practicing Catholic in good standing, with experience working with children; certification in CGS or willingness to pursue further certification is preferred.
