Job Summary
Relief Worker responsibilities include safeguarding the health, safety, and quality of life of residents in a Substance Use Disorder Residential Program, a High Intensity Residential Service. Responsibilities include ensuring health and safety at all times, assisting with implementing and guiding residents on IAP goals, accurate administration and documentation of medications, approving weekly activity logs, assisting residents with benefits and budgeting, program upkeep, and transporting individuals in the agency vehicle as needed. The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, six months of related experience, a Mass Driver’s License, and the ability to become CPR and SFA certified within five months of hire; bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred. The position is per diem with programs located in East Boston and Chelsea, MA, with 24-hour staffing.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Six months experience with individuals with substance use disorders
- Mass Driver's License
- Ability to become CPR certified within five months of hire (training provided)
- Ability to become SFA certified within five months of hire (training provided)
- Medication administration documentation
- Medication-assisted treatment knowledge
- IAP goals and objectives knowledge
- Budgeting assistance for residents
