RELIEF TECHNICIAN on 2nd shift

Job Summary
Conduct relief functions for Spray Booth, Tempering Oven, Cutting Line, Hanger, and Final Inspector/Packer roles during breaks and lunches. Adjust oven temperatures, clear quenches of broken glass, and maintain spray equipment while monitoring Ohmage values. Load/unload trucks, pick moving glass, and inspect for defects before hanging on tongs. Operate breakers, grinders, and washing machines; measure glass dimensions and document rejects. Visually inspect finished glass for scratches, chips, and warpage; wrap and pack bundles according to customer requirements. Wear mandatory personal protective equipment including a full face respirator and white cotton gloves. Work the 2:15 pm to 10:45 pm shift Monday through Friday with mandatory overtime and possible Saturdays.
Required Qualifications
- Must have good attention to detail
- Completion of primary school education with six months of experience or related training and six months experience
- Must have basic understanding of chemicals used in the production process and how to mix them
- Must have strong understanding of safety and environmental procedures associated with this job
- Ability to understand work instructions and communicate problems to the Production Supervisor
- Ability to collect production data to complete required forms
- Ability to perform elementary mathematical operations
- familiarity with measuring units and measuring instruments
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to instructions provided by the Production Supervisor
- Must be able to wear a full face respirator
- Must be clean shaven at all times
- Must be available for mandatory overtime
- Must be available for Saturday shifts
- Must work 2:15 pm – 10:45 pm, Monday – Friday
Desired Qualifications

- Trade school certification
