Job Summary
Relief Supervisor to oversee rotating-shift plant operations at the Festus, MO plant. Responsibilities include supervising employees, maintaining equipment records, ensuring safety, quality and environmental standards, and coordinating with Production Supervisors, Production Manager, Production Superintendent and Process Engineers. Drive maximum operating time within environmental and quality limits, follow standard operating procedures, ensure safe task execution per MSHA regulations, keep production and equipment records in the database, and collaborate with Process Engineers on continuous improvement. Supervises safety, work direction, and coordination of Control Room Operators; directs personnel to ensure orderly plant operation. Requires ability to work rotating shifts and strong communication skills; basic computer skills and the ability to perform under pressure are essential.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalency
- 2 years supervisory experience or 5 years working in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment preferred
- Ability to work rotating shifts to support 24/7 plant operations
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral)
- Basic computer skills
- Strong decision skills, with the ability to function successfully in a stressful environment
