Job Summary
Manage store operations to achieve maximum sales performance by ensuring adequate staffing, proper merchandising, and clean conditions. Provide training to new employees and community service workers while implementing customer service programs and safety guidelines to limit injuries. Assist cashiers, oversee daily crew performance reports, and suggest disciplinary actions or terminations to the store manager. Maintain attendance records, enforce banking and cash handling protocols, and execute closing procedures to secure the store. Ensure all shopping carts are returned and the production room is prepared for the next shift by organizing dropped-off donations.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of styles and trends
- Ability to identify merchandise quality and price it accordingly
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
- Ability to write employee warnings, which provide clear feedback to employees
- Ability to effectively present information in one on one and small group situations to customers and employees
- Ability to delegate and follow up to achieve established results
- Ability to work as a productive member of a team
- Experience working with a diverse workforce
- Ability to work with individuals possessing developmental disabilities
- Ability to use good judgment
- Energy to take on fast-paced work
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good listener
- Use upper body strength to frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds
- Must be able to lift the arms shoulder height or above
- Must be able to push or pull clothing racks weighing up to 15 pounds
