Job Summary
Provide cover for shop managers on holiday and absence by supervising small teams of staff and volunteers while maximizing the use of donated items in shop locations. Operate across a geographical area including Norwich, Beccles, Cromer, Dereham, Diss, King's Lynn, Sheringham, Swaffham, Wymondham, and Fakenham, working 35 hours per week (5 days) with operational hours from Monday to Sunday, including weekends and bank holidays as required. Mileage is paid under HMRC guidelines. This role supports Big C's mission to raise funds for cancer support services across East Anglia through its network of charity shops and virtual support centers.
Required Qualifications
- Experience as a shop manager
- Experience as an assistant shop manager
- Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
- Barred list check
- Availability for weekend and bank holiday working
- Ability to travel across Big C's geographical area including Norwich, Beccles, Cromer, Dereham, Diss, King's Lynn, Sheringham, Swaffham, Wymondham and Fakenham
- Ability to supervise small teams of staff and volunteers
- Ability to make the most of donated items in the shop(s)
