Relief Manager

Operate the store in the absence of the Store Manager by providing excellent customer service, answering calls, and recommending products. Manage daily functions including merchandising, setting promotional signage, receiving shipments, and maintaining a clean, fully stocked sales floor. Direct sales and cashier associates, train newly hired staff, and enforce loss prevention and company policies. Maintain inventory control while ensuring compliance with all regulations. This role offers a path to higher management positions with a defined training program. Candidates must be 21 or older with previous retail management experience, a high school diploma, and strong communication skills. Flexible scheduling applies, and the position is open to candidates in Big 5 Sporting Goods' western United States stores.
