Relief / Float Veterinary Technician

Job Summary

Conduct animal restraint, triage incoming patients, and manage nursing care for medical and hospitalized cases with varying stability. Perform diagnostic imaging, including positioning and capturing radiographs, while assisting in surgical preparation and anesthetic management. Collect and analyze lab samples such as blood, urine, and fecal, and administer medications under client communication. This as-needed role requires covering shifts on an approximately 8-16 hour weekly basis, 4-8 shifts per month, including weekend and weekday nights. Candidates must withstand unpleasant odors, noises, and exposure to animal waste or contagious diseases. Required Qualifications

  • Availability to work some weekend and weekday nights
  • Ability to arrive on-time and ready to work
  • A certified veterinary technician with an active license is preferred, but experienced candidates with 3+ years of technician experience will be considered
