Conduct pre- and post-operation vehicle inspections to verify tire pressure, fluid levels, and safety equipment, reporting any defects on standard reports. Safely operate a collection truck along designated routes to service customers, read route sheets, and follow dispatcher assignments. Perform manual and automatic controls to lift, load refuse, operate compactors, and dispose of material at disposal sites. Maintain vehicle operational readiness by cleaning waste from packer blades and truck bodies, monitoring conditions to minimize downtime, and completing daily condition reports. Interact courteously with customers and dispatchers to ensure timely route servicing, identify unsatisfactory containers, and clean accidental waste spills while adhering to all safety policies and productivity standards.
