Job Summary
Run and monitor reliability tests within our facility and external labs. Collaborate with the team to identify test failures and perform root cause analysis on lab and field incidents. Develop novel, scaled tests for autonomous systems and design equipment to uncover failures before they occur in the field. Build test rigs using CAD and shop tools, and write Python scripts to automate reliability testing. Identify and suggest design changes to prevent future failures.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelors or advanced degree in a relevant engineering discipline
- Mastery of test equipment such as environmental chambers, vibration tables, water testers, DAQs, etc.
- Ability to bring order to complex test and development programs via clear technical communication and documentation
- Experience designing and building testers and equipment
- Ability to write Python scripts to automate reliability tests
- Experience with CAD and shop tools to design and build fixtures and/or test rigs
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
