Job Summary
Reliability Technician role at West Fraser's Opelika Sawmill focusing on preventive and predictive maintenance. You will collect equipment condition data to prevent unplanned failures, perform routine PMs (lubrication, fluid levels, health monitoring), and utilize predictive technologies including vibration, thermal imaging (IR), and ultrasonic emission to monitor equipment health and reliability. Requires a solid attendance/safety record, industrial experience, and success on the Mechanical Reasoning Assessment. Preferred qualifications include a 2-year technical degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience, training in condition monitoring and sensors, predictive maintenance technologies, and MLT certification.
Required Qualifications
- Must have demonstrated good attendance, safety, and work record
- Experience in industrial applications
- Pass our Mechanical Reasoning Assessment with a minimum score
- 2-year technical degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
- Training and/or expertise in condition monitoring and sensors
- Training and/or experience in Predictive Maintenance Technologies
- MLT certification
