Reliability Supervisor

Job Summary
Reliability Supervisor responsible for leading QA/QC and reliability testing operations, coaching lab technicians and reliability engineers, and ensuring proper maintenance and calibration of lab equipment (e.g., optical microscopes, SAM, CT scanners). Performs failure analysis to identify root causes, develops and optimizes investigative methods, and oversees qualification testing (temperature cycling, mechanical stress, HTOL). Tracks KPIs such as MTBF and MTTR, drives continuous improvement, and collaborates with design and manufacturing teams to implement corrective actions and prevent recurrence. Requires strong leadership, analytical thinking, and proficiency with reliability tools (8D, FMEA, SPC, OCAP, DOE, Six Sigma, 7QC Tools) and MS Office.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. in Engineering (preferably ECE, Chemical, Manufacturing, Electrical or Mechanical) or equivalent
- At least 5 years FA-REL experience in electronics/semiconductor with at least 1 year supervisory experience (or at least 10 years FA experience)
- Knowledge of FPC manufacturing processes
- Experience with problem-solving tools: 8D, FMEA, SPC, OCAP, DOE, Six Sigma, 7QC Tools
- Experience in failure analysis using non-destructive and destructive testing methods (X-ray, SAM, CT, optical microscopy)
- Strong analytical and leadership skills; ability to coach and develop staff
- Proficiency in MS Office and ability to interpret reliability tests
- Experience with MTBF/MTTR metrics; qualification testing (temperature cycling, mechanical stress, HTOL)
- Cross-functional collaboration with design, manufacturing, and maintenance teams
- Ability to communicate effectively and lead teams in a lab/reliability setting
