Job Summary

Reliability Specialist to develop and lead the reliability program at a manufacturing facility in Morristown, Tennessee. This role is critical to improving the reliability, maintainability, and overall performance of plant equipment, systems, and processes. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and passionate about driving operational excellence through proactive maintenance strategies, continuous improvement initiatives, and cross-functional collaboration. Responsibilities include leading and developing the facility reliability program, partnering with Maintenance, Production, and Engineering teams to improve reliability and maintainability, driving reliability and failure elimination initiatives, defining and implementing preventive and predictive maintenance strategies, utilizing predictive maintenance technologies and non-destructive testing methodologies, analyzing repetitive equipment failures to implement sustainable corrective actions, providing technical troubleshooting support, developing maintenance training programs, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborating with plant leadership to improve maintenance effectiveness and plant reliability metrics.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related Engineering discipline preferred
  • 2–4 years of experience in a Reliability Engineer or Reliability Specialist role within a manufacturing environment
  • Previous maintenance leadership or hands-on maintenance experience as a Manager, Supervisor, or Technician strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, and reliability-centered maintenance principles
  • Experience troubleshooting complex mechanical and electrical equipment issues
  • Proven ability to analyze equipment failures and implement long-term corrective actions
  • Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication abilities
  • Detail-oriented with a strong continuous improvement mindset
  • Willingness to work hands-on in the plant alongside mechanics and operators, including responding to critical equipment issues as needed
