Reliability Manager

Job Summary

Oversee plant maintenance and utilities activities, including planning turnarounds, managing SAP records, and ensuring ISO 9001 and GMP compliance for Propylene Glycol production. Implement reliability centered maintenance and predictive strategies for critical chemical equipment while managing the natural gas transmission pipeline. Lead a diverse maintenance team, conduct root cause analyses on failures, and optimize the maintenance budget to drive cost savings. Collaborate cross-functionally with production, engineering, and HSE teams to align activities with plant objectives, evaluate vendor performance, and ensure adherence to OSHA, EPA, and PSM regulations. Requires 15+ years in chemical operations, on-call availability for emergencies, and experience managing union workforces.

Required Qualifications

  • 15+ years in maintenance and/or operations in the oil and gas, refining, or chemical industries
  • Leadership and effective people management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to master mechanical equipment, manufacturing and chemical process equipment, product and process knowledge
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate and optimize processes
  • Understanding engineering principles and how to apply methods to existing equipment
  • Must have a demonstrated knowledge of corrosion damage mechanisms and a basic demonstrated knowledge of materials
  • Experience with preventative and predictive maintenance techniques
  • Experience/knowledge troubleshooting mechanical equipment, to include leading Root Cause Failure Analysis and driving corrective/preventative actions from it
  • Ability to work in an on-call capacity for plant emergencies
  • Demonstrated ability to manage capital projects from inception to implementation
  • Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) necessary
  • Familiar with ASME codes
  • Creative problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Must be able to foster effective relationships with Production and other functional areas
  • Demonstrated ability to act decisively and deliver results
  • Demonstrated experience with manufacturing safety programs
  • Strong communication skills
  • Must be able to climb stairs and/or ladders, walk site
  • Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience managing an hourly union workforce preferred
  • SAP a plus
