Job Summary
Conduct routine and specialized reliability testing of materials and products, including I-V, Insulation, and Mechanical Load tests, while identifying defects and generating reports. Maintain ISO 17025 documentation and protocols to ensure accreditation, and perform regular preventive maintenance on laboratory equipment. Collaborate with Production, Equipment, and Process Engineering teams to support continuous improvement initiatives, evaluate test trends, and propose corrective actions. Record and report test results accurately, assist with customer visits, and contribute to improved testing methods and workflows. Work on-site in Columbus, Ohio, adhering to strict safety and quality protocols within a fast-paced solar manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, or a related field
- at least 4 years of direct experience in laboratory testing or quality assurance
- Must be able to work on-site in Columbus, Ohio
- Must be able to follow strict safety and quality protocols
Desired Qualifications
- Automotive, semiconductor, or solar industry experience
- Familiarity with data acquisition systems, testing instrumentation, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Experience with ISO 9001, ISO 17025, or similar quality management systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- experience with a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask and adapt to changing responsibilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
- High level of initiative and ownership in driving tasks and responsibilities to completion
- Candidates with experience in electromechanical, electrical, or reliability testing
