Job Summary
Reliability Engineer responsible for developing and proposing preventive, predictive, and autonomous maintenance plans for plant equipment throughout its life cycle; identify inspection, lubrication, cleaning, and parts-change activities based on manufacturer recommendations and operator experience; provide technical support for major maintenance jobs; investigate performance deviations and recommend corrective actions; expert in rotating equipment and vibration analysis (conveyors, belts, feeders, crushers, pumps, blowers, fans, gearboxes, compressors); ensure maintenance and operating tasks are scheduled and quality-checked; drive ongoing improvement to equipment availability and reliability; support technical development of maintenance teams; analyze maintenance history to evaluate preventive/predictive effectiveness and inform design/selection issues; coordinate with original equipment manufacturers as needed; collaborate with Technical Office on new equipment specifications to ensure reliability and minimize lifecycle cost; assist in planning major shutdowns with resource estimates, materials, and duration; advise on technical problems in manufacturing and modified parts; requires 5-7 years of experience and relevant mechanical/industrial engineering background.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in mechanical or industrial engineering preferred
- Professional certification (e.g., CMRP, Certified Reliability Engineer/Leader)
- Experience in manufacturing environment preferred
- Proficiency with Tabware, AutoCAD, Project, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Familiarity with asset management systems and predictive maintenance tools
- Experience with continuous improvement methodologies
- Knowledge of reliability analysis techniques and KPIs (Availability, Reliability, FMEA, MTBF, RCFA)
- Ability to work in hot or cold environments and occasional off-hours/shift
