Job Summary
Reliability Engineer at Radial Solutions Inc. (RSi) supporting NASA programs, responsible for reliability analyses, hazard/risk assessments, and certification of EVA/spaceflight hardware. Develop and assure FMEAs, fault trees, and reliability models; present reliability positions at program boards and SMA panels; collaborate with NASA leadership and multidisciplinary teams; contribute to systems engineering, safety, and mission assurance communities. Requires a BS in engineering (Mechanical/Aerospace preferred) with 8–10 years’ experience, knowledge of NASA/DoD safety and reliability standards, experience with real-time operations or ground testing, and ability to travel domestically. Familiarity with EVA/EMU hardware, ISS systems, and mission assurance concepts is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical or Aerospace preferred), or a STEM discipline such as physics or mathematics
- 8-10 years of relevant engineering experience
- Experience supporting real-time operations, ground testing, or crew/flight system training
- Experience creating reliability or safety artifacts such as FMEAs, hazard analyses, and fault trees
- Familiarity with NASA, DoD, or related aerospace safety, reliability, and quality standards
- Ability to learn SMA and engineering processes for certification of EVA or spaceflight hardware
- Willingness to travel domestically (less than 10%)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal collaboration skills
