Job Summary
Analyze equipment performance to identify failure trends and opportunities for improvement, performing root cause analysis using tools like FMEA and RCM. Develop and optimize preventive and predictive maintenance strategies while partnering with maintenance and operations teams to improve equipment uptime. Track and report key reliability metrics such as MTBF and MTTR, driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance. Ensure all activities comply with GMP, FDA, and safety standards within a regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. This site-based role in Houston, TX, supports Lonza's mission to manufacture medicines to the highest standards for patients globally.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience in reliability engineering, maintenance, or manufacturing environments
- Knowledge of GMP/cGMP principles and regulated industry practices
- Familiarity with reliability tools such as FMEA, RCA, RCM, or TPM
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
