Job Summary

Lead reliability engineering for electrical, instrumentation, and control systems at White Springs phosphate facility. Responsibilities include tracking and analyzing performance of electrical, instrumentation, and control assets to identify reliability risks and opportunities; developing and maintaining criticality rankings, asset strategies, and FMEA/RCM-based maintenance plans for I&E equipment; building and reporting reliability KPIs (MTBF, PM compliance, PdM findings, work order history); leading predictive maintenance programs (infrared thermography, power quality analysis, partial discharge testing, protective relay testing, intelligent MCC monitoring, instrument loop diagnostics); overseeing calibration programs and experience with Calibration Management Systems (Fluke, Beamex) preferred; providing advanced technical support for troubleshooting PLCs, DCS, instrumentation loops, electrical distribution, and process control systems; supporting commissioning and tuning of instrumentation, control logic, and electrical equipment; reviewing changes to instrument ranges, logic modifications, and protective relay settings; collaborating with project engineers and contractors to meet reliability and safety requirements; participating in engineering design reviews (P&IDs, electrical one-lines, loop sheets, I/O lists); supporting FAT/SAT verification, construction QA/QC, and checkout/commissioning of new or modified equipment; providing reliability input for outages and capital projects; leading or participating in RCA investigations; developing corrective actions and long-term reliability improvements; working with CMMS (Oracle EAM) to improve data quality and maintenance planning; coordinating with I&E technicians, planners, supervisors, and operations for better reliability performance; coordinating with vendors for testing and technical support.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or relevant engineering discipline
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial reliability, I&E maintenance engineering, or process plant electrical/instrumentation systems
  • Strong working knowledge of industrial power distribution, switchgear, MCCs, transformers, protective relays; instrumentation; control valves; PLC/DCS platforms; and industrial communication networks
  • Experience with RCM/FMEA methodologies and predictive maintenance technologies
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with CMMS systems (Oracle preferred)
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across functions
  • Experience with maintenance planning, bad-actor elimination, and RCA investigations
