Reliability Engineer

Job Summary
Proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues to improve effectiveness of manufacturing facilities. Implement and provide engineering support for small and large cost and capital projects while supporting the performance and improvement of control distribution systems and rotating equipment. Develop preventive and predictive programs, conduct field assessments and audits, and lead the implementation of Chemours standard policies. Provide technical expertise to communicate with internal and external engineers, reviewing control procedures, programs, and safe work practices. Offer engineering support for Process Safety Management through participation in Process Hazard Analysis and Pre-Startup Safety Reviews, assisting maintenance and operations with equipment failure evaluation and technical recommendations for repairs and upgrades.
Required Qualifications

- Provide engineering support and expertise for Process Safety Management (PSM) through participation in Process Hazard Analysis (PHAs) and Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSRs)
- Provide engineering assistance to maintenance and operations including troubleshooting, evaluation of equipment failures, and technical recommendations for repairs and upgrades
- Own improvements
- Develop knowledge in area specific equipment to become subject matter experts for the review and preparation of maintenance inspection & work procedures and skills development/training
- Prepare and audit scopes of work, estimates, schedules, and equipment specifications
- Review preventive maintenance plans to ensure optimum process and frequency of performance
- Evaluate vendor proposals and designs and exercise effective judgment around functionality, cost, and timing
