Job Summary
The Reliability Electrician V will execute advanced troubleshooting, repair, programming, and improvement initiatives of PLC’s, HMI’s, VFD’s, and electrical controls for various plant equipment. Responsibilities include ensuring safe work practices, high quality and precision work, mentoring lower grade electricians, and providing input on maintenance practices and equipment performance. The role requires identifying equipment issues affecting safety and productivity, creating preventive and condition maintenance plans, and leading repair efforts while adhering to established safety protocols. Ideal candidates must possess strong electrical knowledge, safety compliance skills, and the ability to use advanced diagnostic tools.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced troubleshooting of electrical components such as PLC’s, AC & DC drives, relay logic, single loop controllers, pneumatics & hydraulics
- Ability to create advanced PLC systems and programs for process and operational control
- Working knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC)
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics/prints
