Release Train Manager

Job Summary
Facilitate Program Increment (PI) planning sessions, oversee backlog grooming, and coordinate sprint activities including reviews and Scrum of Scrums. Manage Earned Value Measurement System (EVMS), Integrated Master Schedule, and financial reports to track variances and ensure alignment with Statement of Work requirements. Coach team members, lead Engineering Review Board meetings, and support proposal activities including Engineering Basis of Estimate writing and Schedule Risk Assessments. Maintain clear communication with customers regarding scope boundaries and contract commitments while resolving staffing challenges through root cause analysis. Requires a Secret security clearance, U.S. citizenship, and proficiency in Agile tools like Jira and Confluence.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Technology degree in Engineering or a related specialized area/field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
- 8 years of relevant experience
- Master's degree plus 6 years of experience
- Department of Defense Secret security clearance
- U.S. Government security investigation eligibility
- Eligibility requirements for access to classified information
- U.S. citizenship
- Proven experience as a Release Train Engineer or similar role
- Strong understanding of Agile and SAFe methodologies
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines
- Experience with EVMS, PI planning, and backlog grooming
- Proficiency in using Agile tools and software (e.g., Jira, Confluence)
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to navigate complex software development processes
