Job Summary
Monitor students and assure proper conduct in the lunchroom while collaborating with food service staff and the principal. Circulate among tables to help students as needed, demonstrate a positive attitude toward nutrition, and maintain the cleanliness and order of the food service facilities. Follow all safety and emergency procedures, protect confidential information, and report behavioral issues, bullying, or suspected child abuse according to district policy. Prioritize work to meet schedules and timelines while observing proper reporting procedures. Compensation is commensurate with the DCPS Salary Schedule for class code 7213, and assignments vary based on district needs.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, G.E.D., or satisfactory progress towards G.E.D.
- Basic computer skills including use of mouse and keyboard to navigate computer, e-mail, and websites
- Classroom management techniques
- Documentation and record-keeping techniques
- Communication skills
- Policies and objectives of assigned program and activities
- Successful completion of post-offer, pre-employment screenings
