Job Summary

Release Strategist supports technology transformation and change initiatives in a regulated financial services environment. Responsible for coordinating technology releases, planning and executing release strategies, assessing business and technical impact, tracking dependencies and risks, contributing to M&A integration activities, applying Agile and ITIL practices to ensure service stability and readiness, creating clear reporting for governance forums, collaborating across technology, operations, risk, and business teams, ensuring regulatory compliance (SOX, GDPR), and supporting change adoption through engagement with end-user communications. The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, process improvement, and a hands-on approach to release and change management in a fast-paced, compliant setting.

Required Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of experience in technology change, release management, transformation, or integration roles (preferably within financial services or other regulated industries)
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery and ITIL practices
  • Experience with release management or project management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira, Azure DevOps)
  • Basic understanding of cloud platforms, DevOps concepts, or CI/CD pipelines is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to quickly learn new enterprise systems and adapt to evolving technology environments
  • Experience supporting software or platform releases in a cross-functional team setting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and Power Platform (Power BI) for reporting and documentation
  • Experience gathering and documenting requirements or process improvements
  • Analytical and detail-oriented, with the ability to interpret data and identify trends
  • Effective communicator, able to present information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills
  • Adaptable and resilient in high-change, fast-paced environments
  • Eager to learn and grow within a technology transformation function
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proactive problem-solver with a willingness to take initiative

  • Experience in regulated industries (finance, healthcare, government) is a plus

  • Familiarity with risk management or compliance processes
  • Interest in developing expertise in release and change management best practices
  • Demonstrated ability to work with geographically distributed teams
  • Experience supporting user acceptance testing (UAT) or post-release support activities
  • Exposure to enterprise communication platforms (e.g., Teams and SharePoint) for collaboration and change communications
  • Ability to create process documentation and training material
  • Participation in process improvement or automation initiatives
  • Interest in emerging technologies such as AI, machine learning, or data analytics
