Job Summary
Part-time Release of Information Specialist at Charlie Health responsible for processing requests for patient health information, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with state and federal guidelines, managing HIM electronic document management (EDM) systems, handling calls and correspondence, data entry, and disclosures, and assisting with related administrative duties. The role requires an Associate’s degree or equivalent in release of information, about 1 year of behavioral health medical records experience, strong attention to detail, ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency with email/office software. The position supports remote work in the U.S. with a hybrid option for those within 45 minutes of a Charlie Health office.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Degree required or equivalent in release of information experience.
- 1 year experience in a behavioral health medical records department, or related fields.
- Experience in a healthcare setting is highly desirable.
- Professional verbal and written communication skills in the English language.
- Work authorized in the United States and native or bilingual English proficiency
- Familiarity with and willingness to use cloud-based communication software—Google Suite, Slack, Zoom, Dropbox, Salesforce–in addition to EMR and survey software on a daily basis.
