Job Summary
Process Release of Information requests for medical records within the ROI workflow, ensuring HIPAA and facility policy compliance; validate patient authorizations, classify requests, log and retrieve records, perform quality control to prevent PHI breaches, process invoicing, and release records to valid requestors while maintaining confidentiality and professional communication with facilities and clients. Must be able to adapt to on-site and remote facility assignments, support multiple ROI types (with cross-training as directed), and uphold standards of accuracy, privacy, and service quality in a healthcare information environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; degree preferred
- Prior ROI fulfillment experience preferred
- Attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize, organize, and meet deadlines
- Documentation and communication skills
- English language proficiency; bilingual skills desirable
