Job Summary
Release Engineer responsible for owning and optimizing the release pipeline for both modern and legacy platforms, collaborating with offshore release engineers and onshore release managers. Drive automated deployments across environments using Azure DevOps, ArgoCD, Helm, Docker, and Kubernetes (AKS), with a focus on fully automated deployment and reliable production releases. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality, repeatable releases, implement IaC, monitor application health with Prometheus/Grafana/Loki, and maintain release documentation. Role supports a hybrid work schedule near Concord, CA or Phoenix, AZ.
Required Qualifications
- Experience with Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines, source control, and artifact management
- Hands-on experience with ArgoCD for GitOps and Kubernetes resource management
- Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes containerization
- Experience deploying on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
- Knowledge of Helm charts for deploying Kubernetes applications
- Experience with base images, container registries, and cloud-based image management
- Proficiency in version control and Git branching strategies
- Experience with Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep for IaC
- Experience with monitoring/observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki) and OpenTelemetry
- Familiarity with Azure App Services, SQL databases, PostgreSQL, MongoDB
- QA automation experience and integrating with CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with microservices architecture, .NET Core API, React.js & Node.js ecosystems
- Ability to work in a hybrid office/remote environment; willing to collaborate across teams and offshore partners
