Job Summary
Delivers an exceptional customer experience for high-risk borrowing accounts by applying expertise to reduce loss exposure and manage risks. Advises stakeholders on complex credit transactions, makes recommendations in accordance with Bank Policy, and recommends alternatives such as restructuring or special loan plans. Monitors financial and risk performance of the account portfolio, performs analysis to improve quality and security, and documents decisions with clear rationale. Builds relationships with internal and external stakeholders including legal and insolvency professionals, influences negotiations to achieve business objectives, and provides coaching to sales and service employees on risk and structuring. Contributes to policy development, change management initiatives, and strategic planning while identifying emerging trends to inform decision-making.
Required Qualifications
- Commercial lending experience
- Typically between 5 - 7 years of relevant experience
- Post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Credit Qualifications and associated credit knowledge and skills according to the established qualification standards
- In-depth knowledge of banking products & services
- In-depth knowledge of industry trends and regulations
- In-depth knowledge of credit portfolio management policies & procedures, and financing guidelines
- Proven leadership skills
- Highly developed coaching skills
- Deep knowledge and technical proficiency gained through extensive education and business experience
