Job Summary
As a Senior Relationship Manager for Government Not-for-Profit clients, you will manage a portfolio of Government Not-for-Profit organizations, grow the book by prospecting new clients and deepening existing relationships, and deliver customized business banking products and solutions. You’ll serve as a trusted advisor on financial needs, navigate regulatory and risk management frameworks, pursue credit opportunities up to $40 million, and leverage your network to expand opportunities. The role requires extensive knowledge of not-for-profit sector requirements, RFP processes, due diligence, and strong leadership within the community to drive profitability and client satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in business banking relationship management role or related business lending experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field, or equivalent work experience
- Knowledge of the unique requirements, laws, regulations, and risk management for Government Not-for-Profit client base; familiarity with the formal Request For Proposal process and due diligence
- Able to identify innovative solutions to best serve client and/or manage risk
- Demonstrate seasoned judgment to offer comprehensive and customized solutions that best meet client needs; monitors and researches segment trends and outcomes to anticipate client needs and present proactive solutions
- Strong current business network; viewed as a leader in community organizations such as Chambers of Commerce, Non-Profit boards
- Preferred qualifications include expert knowledge of business, credit underwriting with commercial credit training
- Experience in managing a portfolio and growing client relationships while ensuring profitability and adherence to regulatory requirements
- Demonstrated ability to manage credit opportunities up to $40 million within a Government Not-for-Profit portfolio
- Ability to deliver customized business banking products and solutions tailored to client needs
