Job Summary
Manage a portfolio of client relationships with moderate complexities, conducting financial analysis, underwriting, and structuring for residential construction projects. Call on local home builders and developers to establish partnerships for current and future financing needs, while monitoring ongoing credit quality and ensuring compliance with loan covenants. Initiate and oversee loan renewals, modifications, and appropriate actions for defaults, preparing comprehensive credit presentations with risk mitigations. Expand the business pipeline by identifying opportunities to strengthen assigned banking relationships, monitoring competitive information, and providing counsel on industrial and economic situations. Mentor analysts and less experienced managers on credit structuring while participating in community events to build referral networks. Travel 10-20% of the time.
Required Qualifications
- 3 years minimum of Commercial Lending experience
- 3 Years minimum of prior experience as a Relationship Manager or equivalent lending experience that includes working directly with clients
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, the general public and professional peers
- A solid understanding of business and banking terminology
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to business related situations
- Basic understanding of accounting, including financial statement and credit analysis skills
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
- Demonstrated negotiation skills
- Ability to create new word processing and spreadsheet files using generally accepted formats
- Ability to use data base programs and other banking specific programs and to access reports
- Ability to use software documentation and help features
- Aptitude for learning advanced features and specialized software programs
- Ability to manage multiple clients, loan requests, deadlines and other priorities
- Business development skills
- Comfortable selling to prospects, networking, cold calling and speaking before groups
- Utilizes critical and creative thinking skills
- Travel Required 10-20 %
Desired Qualifications
- 4 Year Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or similarly related field preferred
- Membership in relevant trade associations or bank trade groups preferred
