Job Summary
Relationship Manager in Coquitlam, BC — permanent full-time (30 hrs/week) hybrid role. Develop and manage relationships between students, host families, schools, and internal/external stakeholders; support homestay hosts and students with cultural and academic needs; plan and deliver in-person training/orientations; maintain accurate records; travel within local community; respond to crises and refer to health professionals as needed; oversee custodianship for local students under 18 within ~100 km. Requires at least two years of homestay or related experience, a one-year foundational post-secondary credential, international experience or hosting/travel experience preferred, strong communication and organizational skills, proficiency with Word, Excel, Email, and Database tools, ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, and eligibility to work in Canada (25+ with valid driver’s license and background checks). The role includes an hourly wage of $26.50-$28.50, with core hours 9:00 AM–1:00 PM PST and some evenings/weekends for events or emergencies.
Required Qualifications
- At least two years of homestay or related work experience
- One-year Community College Certificate or Diploma
- International experience including hosting students or travelling abroad (preferred)
- Ability to plan events and comfortability with public speaking
- Excellent Word, Excel, Email, and Database skills
- Ability to confidently communicate in English; second language is a plus
- Strong judgement and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Full and valid driver’s license with reliable vehicle
- Pass Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check
- Canadian citizen or permanent resident (age 25+)
