Job Summary
Relationship Executive in Mid-Corporate Banking with a focus on acquiring new clients and deepening relationships within mid-market companies ($100M–$2B revenue). Acts as primary interface with Mid-Cap Investment Banking and portfolio companies, coordinating with financial sponsors teams. Drives profitable relationship growth, champions customer-centric innovation, stays current on industry trends, and leverages technology to improve efficiency. Requires seven+ years in lending/credit related to business relationships, strong knowledge of Commercial Banking products and services, ability to engage with CEOs/CFOs, and FINRA licenses (79, 63, SIE) or a path to obtain them within 180 days. Preferred candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree and have experience with Financial Sponsors, Direct Lending, and Capital Markets Solutions; must demonstrate strong sales performance, organizational skills, and ability to build internal partnerships. Located in Columbus, OH, with typical full-time employment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or formal credit training
- FINRA Series 79, 63 and Securities Industry Essentials licenses required or must obtain within 180 days of hire
- Experience: seven plus years of lending or credit support related experience with a focus on business relationships
- Understanding of Commercial Banking products and services
- Market activities, prospecting, client relationship skills with CEOs/CFOs
- Collaboration with internal partners and resources
- Sales goal attainment and performance history
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills
- Interpersonal and influencing abilities with senior partners
- Deep local market connections and knowledge
- Corporate finance expertise and strong transaction execution skills
