Job Summary
Relationship Executive in Mid-Corporate Banking responsible for acquiring new clients and growing a profitable portfolio within the Mid-Corporate market (revenues typically $100M–$2B). Serves as primary interface with Mid-Cap Investment Banking and portfolio companies, collaborates with financial sponsors teams, and drives strategic financial solutions while leveraging corporate-finance expertise. Must demonstrate seven-plus years in lending/credit support, strong client-relationship skills to engage CEOs/CFOs, deep market knowledge, and proven ability to meet sales targets. Requires FINRA licenses (Series 79, 63, and SIE) or ability to obtain within 180 days; Bachelor’s degree and formal credit training preferred. Strong communication, partnering, and multi-tasking abilities are essential, with experience in Financial Sponsors, Direct Lending, and Capital Markets Solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Seven plus years of lending or credit support related experience with a focus on business relationships
- Understanding of Commercial Banking products and services
- Methodical approach to market activities and prospecting, demonstrate proven client relationship skills, and can engage with CEOs and CFOs
- Ability to collaborate with internal partners and resources
- Demonstrated experience of meeting or exceeding sales goals
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage, prioritize, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to establish credibility and strong partnership with senior business and control partners
- Deep local connections and market knowledge
- Corporate finance expertise and strong transaction execution skills
- FINRA Series 79, 63 and Securities Industry Essentials licenses required or must obtain within 180 days of hire
- Bachelor’s degree and formal credit training
- Sales management, business development skills, proficiency in building and maintaining positive client relationships
- Experience with Financial Sponsors, Direct Lending and Capital Markets Solutions
- Strong creative solution, problem solving abilities, flexible to changing business priorities and ability to multitask
- Excellent business judgment, strategic thinking, self-directed, proactive and creative
