Job Summary
Relationship Executive - Global Banking role leading coverage of Technology-focused venture capital firms as a Managing Director. Responsible for expanding senior relationships with VC firms across the US, originating multi-product solutions (M&A advisory, equity, debt, private capital, and venture/growth financing), and coordinating cross-platform partnerships across Investment Banking, Markets, and Private Bank. Requires strong sector expertise in Technology, a track record of senior-level engagement with C-suite/boards, pipeline management, regulatory and risk stewardship (KYC/AML), and the ability to mobilize internal resources to deliver integrated solutions. Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of relevant experience with Technology IB/VC coverage; FINRA Series 79, 63 (and 24 if applicable) are required; role is based in San Francisco, CA.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 10+ years of relevant banking/coverage experience, including Technology investment banking and/or VC relationship coverage
- Demonstrated track record advising Technology companies across M&A and capital markets and engaging at the C-suite/board level
- Deep Technology sector expertise with strong corporate finance knowledge across M&A, ECM, DCM, private capital; familiarity with venture/growth structures (convertibles, preferred equity, venture debt)
- Proven ability to originate, lead, and execute complex, multi-product transactions; consistent record of meeting/exceeding sales and business development goals
- Strong experience with banking products for VC firms and their portfolio companies; ability to mobilize internal networks and resources across lines of business
- Excellent verbal and written communication, content creation, and presentation skills; strong interpersonal and influencing skills with senior business and control partners
- FINRA Series 79 and 63 required; unlicensed candidates will be considered and must obtain within 90 days of start date to remain in the role
- FINRA Series 24 required or must be obtained within 180 days of hire if supervisory responsibilities or role scope necessitate it
- Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act considerations (criminal conviction history)
