Job Summary
Relationship Executive in Emerging Middle Market Banking focused on acquiring and growing client relationships within the Emerging Middle Market segment (companies with revenues typically $20M–$100M). Responsible for developing and retaining profitable client relationships, collaborating with internal partners, and delivering comprehensive financial solutions. Emphasizes building strategic partnerships, referring sources, proactive sales planning, staying abreast of industry trends, and leveraging banking products and services to meet client needs. Requires senior-level experience in lending/credit support, proven sales performance, strong communication and influence with senior executives, and deep market knowledge in the local area. Initiates and manages a weekly sales plan to generate revenue, cultivate referrals, and institutionalize relationships; prefers a Bachelor’s degree and formal credit training. Note: position notes alignment with JPMorgan Chase’s Federal Deposit Insurance Act obligations.
Required Qualifications
- Seven plus years lending or credit support related experience with a focus on business relationships
- Understanding of Commercial Banking products and services
- Methodical approach to market activities and prospecting, demonstrate proven client relationship skills, and can engage with CEOs and CFOs
- Ability to collaborate with internal partners and resources
- Demonstrated experience of meeting or exceeding sales goals; proven top individual contributor
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage, prioritize, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to establish credibility and strong partnership with senior business and control partners
- Deep local connections and market knowledge
- Bachelor’s degree and formal credit training preferred
- Sales management, business development skills, proficiency in building and maintaining positive client relationships
- Strong creative solution, problem solving abilities, flexible to changing business priorities and ability to multitask
- Excellent business judgment, strategic thinking, self-directed, proactive and creative
