RELATIONSHIP BANKER (Teller)

Job Summary
Process routine and complex transactions including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and cashier's checks while troubleshooting customer issues across accounts and digital platforms. Identify customer needs to recommend banking products and actively cross-sell to internal specialists, contributing to branch growth goals through relationship building and proactive outreach. Open and maintain personal and business accounts, perform ongoing maintenance, and conduct follow-ups to deepen customer relationships. Assist with daily branch operations including opening/closing procedures, cash handling, vault balancing, and ATM maintenance. Maintain adherence to all bank policies and regulatory requirements, escalating suspicious activity or complex issues appropriately. This role evolves in complexity and leadership expectations from Level I through Level III, with increasing involvement in loan processing and decision-making authority.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to stand, sit, and move throughout the branch as needed
- May lift up to 50 pounds (coin, cash boxes)
- Frequent use of hands, vision, and communication skills
- Fast-paced, customer-facing environment with moderate noise levels
Desired Qualifications
- Some banking or sales experience
- 1–2+ years financial services experience with demonstrated proficiency
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to identify sales opportunities and cross-sell effectively
- Knowledge of banking products, services, and regulations
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
