Job Summary
Relationship Banker role focusing on delivering industry-leading client service in person and by phone, developing and expanding client relationships, and providing financial solutions based on consultative conversations and referrals. Cross-trained to perform teller duties as needed. Key responsibilities include advanced proficiency with routine client maintenance, problem resolution, and sales to meet targets; supporting the team sales process by referring complex needs to internal specialists; advising on consumer lending options and taking loan applications; staying compliant with policies and procedures; and maintaining a high level of service during client interactions. Travel or temporary staffing changes may be required to accommodate staffing needs, and some roles may require weekends or extended hours.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- 2 years of client sales and service experience
- Experience with sourcing and prospecting for new clients and client relationship building
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (Microsoft Office)
- SAFE (Mortgage Licensing Act) compliant within 30 days of employment including background checks
- Ability to multi-task under time constraints
- Ability to travel to accommodate temporary staffing needs as required
- Ability to work weekends and/or extended hours with occasional travel and overnight may be included
- Associate’s degree or higher (Preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with discussing, recommending and selling deposit, credit and retirement products
- Demonstrated ability in meeting or exceeding sales goals
- General understanding of bank operations, policies and procedures
