Job Summary
Relationship Banker responsibilities include acquiring, managing, and retaining client relationships; delivering attentive, consultative service; tailoring product and service recommendations; educating clients on technology solutions (Chase Mobile App, Chase.com, ATMs); quickly learning products, procedures, and regulatory requirements; collaborating with banking experts to address clients' financial needs; and adhering to branch policies and risk/compliance standards. Key skills include relationship-building, consultative communication, client empathy, ability to translate features into benefits, problem resolution, and comfort with financial products and regulatory frameworks.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ year of sales experience in Retail Banking, Financial Services, or other related industries with proven success in establishing new clients, deepening relationships, and delivering results
- High school degree, GED, or foreign equivalent
- The Securities Industry Essential (SIE) exam, FINRA Series 6, state registration (including 63 if required), and Life licenses are minimum requirements
- All unlicensed applicants must obtain their licenses through JPMC’s licensing program within 180 days of hire, study materials and support provided
- Ability to work branch hours including weekends and some evenings
- College degree or military equivalent (preferred)
- Experience adhering to banking policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Dodd-Frank/Truth in Lending Act qualification requirements for Loan Originators; NMLS registration requirements
- National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) requirements and SAFE Act compliance
