Job Summary
Relationship Banker at Chase Branch in Pasadena, CA — focuses on acquiring, managing, and retaining client relationships with attentive service and financial-solution recommendations. Responsibilities include meeting with clients in person and by phone, understanding financial needs, tailoring product/service recommendations, educating clients on technology solutions (Chase Mobile App, Chase.com, ATMs), and collaborating with specialists to address complex financial needs while adhering to banking policies and regulatory requirements. Requires strong communication, sales experience, risk/compliance awareness, and licensing prerequisites (SIE, FINRA Series 6, state licensing, NMLS/Safe Act compliance). Must be able to work weekend/evening hours and have a high school degree or equivalent.
Required Qualifications
- High school degree, GED, or foreign equivalent
- Securities Industry Essential (SIE) exam
- FINRA Series 6
- state registration (including 63 if required)
- Life licenses (as minimum requirements)
- NMLS licensing/registration
- Ability to work branch hours including weekends and some evenings
- 1+ year of sales experience in Retail Banking, Financial Services, or related industries
- Ability to create memorable client experiences
- Excellent communication skills (in person and over the phone)
- Ability to resolve client issues with attention to detail
- Compliance with risk parameters and training requirements
- Licensing program support within 180 days of hire
- Ability to leverage technology to educate clients about banking solutions
- Dodd-Frank/Truth in Lending Act qualification considerations for loan originator role
