Job Summary
Deliver exceptional customer service by executing transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and opening consumer accounts with precision. Handle customer calls professionally, navigate challenging situations with empathy, and ensure accurate cash management by balancing drawers and maintaining funds within set limits. Promote and cross-sell bank products effectively while providing professional phone and in-person assistance. Count, verify, and package coin and currency accurately, preparing them for secure vault storage. Set and achieve sales goals with guidance from supervisors and operate branch equipment like vaults to ensure compliance with operational standards. Address customer inquiries, resolve routine issues, and create thorough documentation for transaction inquiries. Maintain a well-stocked teller station, assist with safety deposit boxes, and support the Retail Banking team with daily reconciliation. Adhere to all bank policies, regulations, and laws, ensuring all activities remain compliant.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with internal and external customers at all levels
- A positive and proactive approach to work, demonstrating enthusiasm, adaptability, and the ability to maintain composure and professionalism in stressful or adverse conditions
- Proficiency in accurately and efficiently processing customer transactions while providing exceptional customer service
- Ability to identify and pursue sales opportunities by understanding customer needs and recommending appropriate products and services
- Ability to quickly and efficiently resolve discrepancies or errors in customer accounts
- Critical-thinking skills and the ability to analyze data, drawing informed conclusions
- Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines
- Mathematical proficiency and the ability to quickly and accurately complete standard calculations
- Proficient computer literacy, including comfort with Microsoft systems and Office Suite
- Intermediate typing skills to meet the needs of this position
- Current driver's license and reliable transportation with appropriate insurance coverage
- The ability to drive occasionally in the course of performing assigned duties and responsibilities
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and at other locations as needed
- The ability to work with minimal or no supervision
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
Desired Qualifications
