Job Summary
Engage in consultative conversations with customers to build rapport, identify financial needs, and cross-sell deposit and loan products. Accurately process traditional transactions including check cashing, withdrawals, and deposits while answering complex questions and troubleshooting account issues. Leverage the Salesforce platform for digital outreach and maintain effective working relationships with both clients and colleagues. Utilize knowledge of laws and regulations to accept loan applications, including Home Equity, while adhering to operational, regulatory, and security policies. Collaborate with the Branch Manager to enhance lobby management and customer outreach efforts.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and/or 2-4 years of successful experience in a sales and service environment such as retail, hospitality, or financial services
- Must be or become a Notary Public and NMLS certified
- Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel with ability to operate a wide variety of equipment and mobile devices
- Excellent organizational skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong sales orientation with ability to balance multiple priorities and ability to adapt approach to different situations as needed
- Ability to work intuitively and find creative solutions should any problems arise
- Ability to work within normal office requirements, with long periods of standing inside and outside of a branch environment and continuous customer contact
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Willingness and ability to work within a flexible work week, which may include weekends, as customer needs dictate
- Ability to successfully complete all required onboarding, job-specific, compliance, regulatory, operational, and continuing education training programs within established timeframes
