Job Summary
Relationship Banker at Chase Bloomingdale is responsible for acquiring, managing, and retaining client relationships within a branch, delivering attentive service, educating clients on technology solutions (Chase Mobile App, Chase.com, ATMs), and tailoring banking solutions to meet financial needs while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The role emphasizes building trust through consultative communication, educating clients on products and services, and collaborating with a team of experts to support clients’ financial goals. Requires a high school degree or GED (foreign equivalent acceptable) and licenses such as SIE, FINRA Series 6, and Life licenses (or the ability to obtain them within 180 days of hire), with work hours including weekends and some evenings. Knowledge of banking products, risk controls, and regulatory frameworks (Dodd-Frank, Truth in Lending Act, SAFE/NMLS) is essential, along with strong customer-service and relationship-management skills.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ year of sales experience in Retail Banking, Financial Services, or other related industries with proven success in establishing new clients, deepening relationships, and delivering results
- Ability to create memorable experiences for our clients – elevate the client experience
- Excellent communication skills, both in person and over the phone, with proven ability to tailor features and benefits of products and services to clients with differing needs
- Ability to quickly and effectively resolve client issues with attention to detail – providing consistent client experience
- Operate within established risk parameters/tolerances and meet internal/external risk and compliance obligations, including completion of required training
- High school degree, GED, or foreign equivalent
- The Securities Industry Essential (SIE) exam, FINRA Series 6, state registration (including 63 if required), and Life licenses are minimum requirements
- All unlicensed applicants must obtain their licenses through JPMC’s licensing program within 180 days of hire, study materials and support provided
- Ability to work branch hours including weekends and some evenings
- Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills: College degree or military equivalent
- Experience adhering to banking policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Dodd Frank/Truth in Lending Act
- NMLS registration under the SAFE Act of 2008. Upon active employment, must register/update NMLS
