Job Summary
Relationship Associate in Corporate Banking based in Nelson (Full-time, permanent). You will support Relationship Managers with high-quality credit analysis, financial insight, and portfolio management to influence customer outcomes and maintain strong risk/compliance standards. You’ll complete accurate credit submissions, monitor the portfolio for triggers and covenants, and contribute to dynamic risk management within policy timeframes. The role emphasizes developing deep understanding of customers, industries, and market conditions, delivering well-considered credit solutions, and collaborating within a team to safeguard the bank’s reputation through rigorous assessment and timely submissions.
Required Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in accounting, finance, or related field
- Knowledge of banking products and the New Zealand market
- Understanding of NZ’s commercial environment and economic landscape
- Strong financial analysis and credit assessment capability
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance and credit risk
- Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
- High attention to detail and ownership of deliverables
- Familiarity with legal and lending documentation will be advantageous
